How it works

Learn about how the tutoring sessions work

Step 1 - You Enquire

Get in contact with me via text or email, and I will get back to you within 48 hours. We can then schedule a phone call or teams meeting so you can get to know me a bit better and vice-versa.

Step 2 - You Decide

Decide which package you want to go with, don't worry if you think they don't suit you I am very flexible, just tell me what you want and we can discuss options.

Step 3 - You Pay

Once we've discussed which package you want to go with, I will send you a payment link either through text or email. Once that has been completed you will recieve an invoice.

Step 4 - You Schedule

When payment comes through, I'll send you a message and we can decide what days and times work best for you. Then, for each session, I will send you a Microsoft Teams link Via Email.

The Sessions

What we will do inside of sessions

The first session usually consists of the student and I getting to know each other; Where the student is at with their studies, their strengths and weaknesses, what they currently do outside of school to support their learning, defining their knowledge and grade goals for the subject, and finding out what their preferred learning method is.

The subsequent sessions will usually be structured like this, although sometimes there is viariability:

  • 5-10 minutes - reviewing what was done in the previous session (answering any questions the student has, and practise questions/activity) and asking the student if they want to work on something specifically.
  • 35-40 minutes - Working on concepts. Homework assistance. Content Revision. Explore exam-style questions. Working on vocab and Grammar (For Spanish learners).
  • 5-10 minutes - Recap on the session. Advice on what the student can do outside of sessions to supplement their learning. Discussion on what the student found easy and what they found challenging. Reviewing progress and goals.
